It's that time of the year where we invite our community to participate in our Thanksgiving Meal Bag initiative. Bags are designed to provide complete Thanksgiving meals for families in need. With your support, we can fill these bags with love and make a real difference in our community.
Sign up through this link to donate a complete meal bag or coordinate with friends to provide multiple bags. Together, we can guarantee that every family has a meal to enjoy and that their hearts are filled with gratitude this holiday season.
Volunteers will be available in the horseshoe area to collect your bags on Thursday, November 20th, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM CDT.
Your contributions will be distributed to Woodrow families in need on Thursday and Friday after school. This opportunity is not only a chance to help but also a way to teach children the importance of giving back. Engaging in this initiative fosters a sense of community spirit that benefits everyone.
What’s in the Thanksgiving Meal Bag?
Each Thanksgiving Meal Bag includes essential items needed to create a festive meal. Here’s what you can help provide:
Reusable Bag
$20 Grocery Store Gift Card
Canned Goods: Two cans of green beans
Fresh Produce: A bag of potatoes and a bag of carrots
Gravy: A jar of gravy
Stuffing Mix: One 14 oz bag of stuffing mix
Mac and Cheese: A family-size box,
Rolls: A bag or tray of rolls
Fruits: A bag of apples or oranges
Cooking Oil: A small bottle (non-glass) to assist in meal preparation.
Seasoning: A container of Lawry's season salt or a similar product
Dessert: One shelf-stable dessert or dessert mix
